Bonfire and Fireworks Night - Sunday 9th November
Thanks to everyone who came along to our Bonfire night on Sunday 9th November. It was a cold day and the forecast was sleet, but still about 400 people turned up, and none were disappointed.
The weather stayed dry and the heat of the bonfire kept spirits high. The fireworks were a huge success and lit up the sky with a crescendo of bangs and sparkles.
Our Cairnton Aberdeen Angus homemade beef burgers were a huge success and the keg of Macbeth Ale supplied by Deeside Brewery ran dry by the end of the night.
A huge thanks must go to Roy Cowie Landbased Services, Paterson Stoves and Jim Lees for contributing to the fireworks and to E&M Lees for providing transport from the village. Also to all those people/companies who provided firewood, of which there are too many to mention.
If you missed it this year, don't worry, we'll hold another next year.
