MacbethFest is over for another year. Here's a run down of what happened:
Wednesday 12th May - Neil Stewart and Running the highlands organised our Macbethfest Relay Running Race and 96 runners took part. It was a dry, clear night and here are the results:
1st Place in a time of 69 minutes and 45 seconds was Team ‘Simpson Buchan’; consisting of mother (Rhona) and daughter (Ellie) Buchan and brothers Doug and Robbie Simpson. Robbie’s individual time was 14:40 (14 mins, 40 secs)
2nd place - The Hamster Chasers: 72:33 – Neil Manson, Veronique Oldham, Pamela Tosh and Keith Charlton (also 2nd last year)3rd place – The Smithheads: 73:33 – Clare and Dan Whitehead and Alan and Tilly Smith ; both married couples.
Special mention too should be made of Ewan McMillan who at the tender age of 11 (he is 12 in 4 days) put in a remarkable time of 18 minutes and 12 seconds.

Friday 14th May - The weather was kind to us again for the Beer Festival, again with record numbers of people turning up to sample the beers. Everyone was given their free Macbethfest glass and everyone enjoyed one or maybe even two of Ken's Cairnton Aberdeen Angus Sirlion Steak Rolls!

Saturday 15 May - Macbethfest Ceilidh. Our main arena was filled with people dancing the Gay Gordons, Strip the Willow and the Eightsome Reel to our Macbethfest Ceilidh band Hogtie. Hogtie have played at TinthePark for the past 4 years running and you can listen to samples of their music on their website.
We hope to see you all again next year when Macbethfest returns as
the Deeside Beer Festival for a 2 Day Beer Festival.
