Woodsman Day

Join us to celebrate a day of all things Wooden at Deeside Activity Park on Sunday 30th November.

From 11am to 3pm, local 'wooden' experts will be holding demonstrations and exhibitions for your enjoyment.

We'll be featuring:

Carol Adams - local chainsaw wood carver.  Great to watch with a fantastic end product.  Carol takes commissions so come along and see what she can do on the day.

Arthur Milne - Stickmaker!  Makes beautiful carved walking sticks using buffalo horn, stag antler and rose wood.  They'll make great Christmas presents.

Dave Barnes - Dave is bringing his woodmizer along on the 30th to give us demonstrations of what this huge machine can do.  Well worth a watch.

Pattersons Stoves - They'll have a selection of woodburning stoves for display.

Murray Brown - Watch his log splitting machine in action!

Axe throwing - we'll give you the opportunity to 'have a go' at this ancient Scandinavian sport.  It's loads of fun and something just a little bit different.

Double Ended Sawing for the kids - children love it.  One at each end and see how fast they can get through a lump of wood?
