Red deer stalking on many east coast Scotland estates is not so easy to come by these days. Deer numbers have rocketed and some estates consider putting a stalker with a guest for a day ineffective. This may be the case, but Howie Irvine have contact with a number of well managed deer forests/moors and good quality stalking by its traditional method.
Roe stalking is quite specialist and something we only
arrange for preferred clients.
Grouse shooting is the
pinnacle of sport. Either driven, walked up or with pointer dogs.
Great shooting in some of Scotland's finest estates. Availability
is limited; guests should book early and be ready to accept that
their sport may be cancelled if the birds do not have a successful
breeding season. After all, the Scottish red grouse is a truly wild
quarry.
Pheasant, Partridge and duck, as
well as many other species are shot in Scotland. Generally for teams
of eight guns, but smaller numbers can often be accommodated. A
bag of up to 200 birds is usual. A full team of game keepers, beaters
and pickers up with dogs are included, and the whole day is a great
experience.
Most importantly we provide lunch!!!
